Former India cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, known for his glorious leadership and elegant batting, laments not converting numerous innings into centuries. Despite achieving 18,575 runs in Tests and ODIs, Ganguly often found himself out in the 80s and 90s, an aspect he deeply regrets.
In an interaction with PTI, the former skipper expressed his wish to have scored more hundreds, explaining that better conversion could have easily led to a 50-plus century tally. Ganguly frequently revisits videos of his innings, reminding himself of missed chances.
Ganguly also reflected on some tough decisions as a captain, including dropping legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble. He recalls Australia as the fiercest rival team and Glenn McGrath as the most formidable opponent.
