Cam Roigard's Injury Snags All Blacks' Rugby Championship Start
Cam Roigard, the All Blacks scrumhalf, will miss the opening matches of the Rugby Championship against Argentina due to a stress fracture in his foot. The injury was confirmed after the team's series win over France. His return is anticipated in two weeks.
All Blacks scrumhalf Cam Roigard will not participate in the opening Rugby Championship matches against Argentina this month due to a stress fracture in his right foot, according to New Zealand Rugby's statement on Sunday. Roigard, 24, experienced foot pain after the team's recent 3-0 series victory over France, which subsequent scans revealed as a fracture.
New Zealand Rugby announced that Roigard will be absent from the trip to Argentina. A reassessment of his condition is expected in two weeks to determine his return. The All Blacks are scheduled to face Argentina in Cordoba on August 16, followed by a second test in Buenos Aires a week later.
The All Blacks' Rugby Championship squad, minus Roigard, is set for unveiling on Monday, with the team gearing up for a challenging competition start without their seasoned scrumhalf.
