Mizoram and Telangana have embarked on a collaborative journey to enhance their sports sector by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement was formalized during the 'Telangana-North East Connect: A Techno-Cultural Festival' in Hyderabad, emphasizing the collective commitment to sports excellence.
The MoU was exchanged between Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Mizoram Sports Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar, highlighting a shared vision. Hmar expressed the northeastern state's determination to excel in Olympic disciplines and enhance the region's sports capabilities.
The collaboration will involve athlete exchange visits, shared coaching expertise, and access to Telangana's sports facilities. Additionally, the conference explored partnerships in music, women's empowerment, fine arts, performing arts, literature, and film, showcasing a holistic approach to cultural and sports collaboration.
