Pakistan's T20 cricket team is likely to remain unchanged for the upcoming Men's T20 World Cup, according to skipper Salman Ali Agha. Speaking on a Pakistan Cricket Board podcast, Agha emphasized the importance of consistency and the effectiveness of designated player roles, which has boosted the team's recent performances.
Following a shake-up post-Asia Cup defeat, where players like Abdul Samad and Naseem Shah joined, the team has seen victory against South Africa and success in a Tri-series with Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. With only six matches remaining before the World Cup, Agha explained that significant team alterations are unlikely.
Salman expressed hope for Shadab Khan's return, highlighting his experience. As the team prepares for the World Cup, Agha also shared his ambition to capture both the T20 title and the 50-over trophy in 2027, setting sights on a short Sri Lanka series next month as a preparatory step.
