Travis Head Shines with Another Ashes Century
Travis Head's stellar performance at Adelaide Oval, scoring 142 not out, positions Australia for a potential Ashes series win against England. Supported by Alex Carey, Head's innings increased Australia's lead. Despite resistance from England's Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, Australia maintains dominance in the series.
Travis Head once again tormented the English side by scoring his second Ashes century, carrying Australia towards what looks to be an inevitable series win at Adelaide Oval. Head's unbeaten 142 boosted the team's score to 271 for four by the end of day three, securing a significant 356-run lead.
Australia, holding a 2-0 lead in the series after winning in Perth and Brisbane, only need a draw in Adelaide to retain the Ashes. "We've had another really, really good day," Head commented on their commanding position.
The Australian lineup saw local hero Alex Carey add 52 runs, sharing a 122-run stand with Head. Despite England's efforts, including contributions from Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, the touring side had no effective response to Head's assault, further pushing them on the back foot in the series.
