Abhay Singh's remarkable 200m run, Basant's high jump, and outstanding performances by Mogali Venkatram and Poonam led to new records, showcasing the athletes' exceptional talent and potential on a significant stage.
The 24th National U20 Athletics Federation Competition concluded with outstanding performances as national junior records tumbled on the final day.
Among the top achievers was Abhay Singh from Reliance, who claimed gold in the men's 200m race with a time of 20.82 seconds, setting a new national junior record. This surpassed the previous record of 21.02 seconds held by N Srinivas since 2021.
Other significant performances included Basant's triumph in the men's high jump, Mogali Venkatram's success in the 800m, and Poonam's record-breaking javelin throw, each showcasing exceptional athletic prowess.
