Piqué Penalized: Six-Match Ban & Two-Month Ownership Suspension

Gerard Piqué, the prominent figure in Spanish football, has been handed a six-match suspension by the Spanish soccer federation. The decision follows Piqué's vociferous complaints about the refereeing during a second-division match, which saw Andorra lose 1-0 to Albacete.

The federation has further restricted Piqué from managing the club's operations for two months. These actions accompany a 1,500 euros fine levied on the club and the temporary closure of part of Andorra’s home stadium for two fixtures.

After taking ownership of FC Andorra in 2018, Piqué has helped the team climb from the fifth division. Despite its current 10th place standing in the league, the club faces challenges off the field with the repercussions of this ruling.
