India Triumphs Over Bangladesh to Enter SAFF Semifinals Against Bhutan

India showcased a commanding performance to defeat Bangladesh 3-0, securing their spot as the Group B leaders in the SAFF Women's Championship. Sunday’s victory allowed India to celebrate their first win over Bangladesh in seven years.
Pyari Xaxa opened the scoreline in the 36th minute, followed by a second-half penalty from Lynda Kom Serto in the 78th minute and a stoppage-time goal by Malavika P. India now prepares to face Bhutan in the upcoming semifinal match on June 3. Meanwhile, Bangladesh will face Nepal in the other semifinal on the same day.
India began dominantly, overcoming an early chance by Bangladesh. With strategic passing and precise aerial deliveries, the Indian team dictated the game's pace, eventually securing the lead. Despite initial challenges, India's focus and well-executed tactics ensured their victory and group leadership.
