Tunisia's Swift Coaching Change: Lamouchi Out, Renard In
Tunisia has dismissed coach Sabri Lamouchi after a disappointing 5-1 World Cup loss to Sweden. Herve Renard, known for his success with the Africa Cup of Nations and leading Saudi Arabia to a victory against Argentina, is set to replace Lamouchi ahead of upcoming matches against Japan and the Netherlands.
Tunisia has acted rapidly in sacking coach Sabri Lamouchi after suffering a crushing 5-1 defeat against Sweden in their World Cup opener, as reported by Tunis Afrique Presse.
Appointed in January on a contract until 2028, Lamouchi became the first coaching casualty of the tournament, following Sunday's poor display in Monterrey.
His replacement, Herve Renard, brings a wealth of experience, having led Saudi Arabia to a famous victory against Argentina in the 2022 World Cup and winning the Africa Cup of Nations twice.
