Qualcomm and Xiaomi verify meter-level positioning in Xiaomi 12T Pro

Qualcomm Technologies and Xiaomi have successfully verified meter-level positioning - a technology that enables superior location capabilities in smartphones - in Xiaomi 12T Pro powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, in Germany, the companies announced on Wednesday.

Qualcomm Meter-Level Positioning for Mobile was first introduced by Xiaomi on its Xiaomi 11 Pro and Xiaomi 11 Ultra in China.

Meter-level positioning enables greater accuracy in numerous scenarios - when using ridesharing applications to identify pick-up locations for both driver and rider, fitness applications to track users’ movements, in-vehicle real-time navigation applications for increased lane-level accuracy and more.

To enable this accuracy, Xiaomi leveraged Qualcomm Meter-Level Positioning for Mobile in combination with Trimble RTX correction services.
