Huawei Germany rejects 'politicisation' of cyber security

Huawei Germany on Wednesday rejected what it called the "pure politicisation" of cyber security after an official from the country's interior ministry said it wanted to force 5G operators to slash their use of the Chinese company's equipment.

In a statement to Reuters, Huawei said such a move would raise costs for network providers, which would be passed on to consumers, and also hurt the digital transformation in Germany.
