Top Telecom Chiefs to Confer with Union Minister Scindia on Sector's Growth

Top telecom leaders, including Akash Ambani, Gopal Vittal, and Akshaya Moondra, are set to attend a meeting called by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. The focus will be on the sector's growth and resolving key issues. The minister has also set up six advisory committees to chart the sector's strategic roadmap.

Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani, Bharti Airtel MD Gopal Vittal, and Vodafone Idea CEO Akshaya Moondra will attend a critical meeting called by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday, sources revealed.

The meeting aims to discuss the growth and key issues of the telecom sector, especially after recent tariff hikes. The agenda includes extensive dialogues with various stakeholders, including infrastructure companies and telecom academics.

Scindia has initiated six advisory committees to create a strategic roadmap for the sector, aiming to propel India to a global leadership position in telecommunications, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
