Cochin Shipyard Launches Two Anti-Submarine Warfare Crafts for Indian Navy
Cochin Shipyard Limited launched two anti-submarine warfare shallow water crafts for the Indian Navy. Part of a series of eight vessels under construction, these crafts are designed for coastal anti-submarine operations and are equipped with advanced SONAR systems. Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has launched two anti-submarine warfare shallow water crafts for the Indian Navy on Monday.
The launch ceremony, attended by Vice Admiral V Srinivas and senior officials, marks the unveiling of the first two vessels of a series of eight under construction at CSL.
Named 'INS MALPE' and 'INS MULKI', the state-of-the-art vessels will replace the in-service Abhay class ASW Corvettes and are equipped with advanced sonar systems for underwater surveillance.
