Staggering Decline: China's Foreign-Branded Phone Shipments Plummet

In a striking development, shipments of foreign-branded cellphones in China plummeted by 49.6% in March, as reported by a government-affiliated research body.

The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) provided data that highlighted a decrease in March shipments to 1.887 million units, a sharp decline from 3.747 million units recorded a year ago.

This trend signifies a challenging market landscape for international phone brands, including tech giant Apple, in one of the world's largest consumer markets.
