Chhattisgarh's Digital Leap: Massive Connectivity Expansion in Tribal Regions

The Chhattisgarh government plans to install over 5000 mobile towers in tribal regions of Surguja and Bastar to enhance digital connectivity. Spearheaded by CM Vishnu Deo Sai, this initiative aims to bolster digital infrastructure supporting the state's 'Viksit Chhattisgarh 2047' vision.

Chhattisgarh is embarking on an ambitious digital transformation journey, with plans to install over 5,000 mobile towers in tribal regions, including Surguja and Bastar. This initiative aims to improve connectivity, as announced during a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

Chief Minister Sai underscored the significance of elevating digital infrastructure, emphasizing its role as a pivotal component of 'Viksit Chhattisgarh 2047'. The initiative strategically aligns with the national vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047' introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The comprehensive plan includes upgrading the State Data Centre to Tier-III standards for increased digital reliability and expanding online services under e-District 2.0 to ensure efficient and transparent governance. CM Sai also reviewed progress on major projects such as the Atal Monitoring Portal, BharatNet Phase-2, and the CG Swan network.
