Maharashtra's landscape for tech investments is set to transform as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the foundation of an AWS data center digitally on Tuesday. This development marks part of a massive $8.3 billion commitment from Amazon Web Services in the region.
The virtual groundbreaking was conducted from the Chief Minister's official residence, Varsha, highlighting the state's commitment shown through a memorandum of understanding signed earlier at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Chief Minister Fadnavis emphasized the state's premier status as an investment magnet, acknowledging the efforts to streamline business processes.
Additionally, Fadnavis introduced India's first 'Think Big Mobile Van' under Amazon's Mobile STEM Lab initiative, aimed at fostering technology-driven education for Mumbai's students.
