In a significant boost to Andhra Pradesh's digital landscape, tech behemoth Google, in coalition with Raiden Infotech India Pvt Ltd, is investing heavily to establish data centers in the region. With a cumulative expenditure surpassing Rs 87,500 crore, the state government has pledged incentives worth Rs 22,000 crore.
The phased development of more than 1000 MW data centers in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts highlights Andhra Pradesh's ambitions to emerge as a key player in the global digital arena. This investment includes India's largest AI infrastructure hub.
The initiative promises extensive job creation, technological innovation, and the attraction of global entities to the state. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasized this mega project as pivotal in rebranding Andhra Pradesh as a formidable digital powerhouse on both national and international platforms.
