The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has made significant strides in advancing India's defence capabilities by transferring seven groundbreaking technologies to the Indian armed forces.
These innovations, developed under the Technology Development Fund (TDF) scheme, range from a long-life seawater battery system for underwater sensing to a waterjet propulsion system for interceptor craft. The handover underscores efforts to foster indigenous innovation.
During a meeting held at DRDO Bhawan, officials emphasized import substitution and reducing reliance on foreign technologies. The initiative aligns with the vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', aiming for faster adoption and operational deployment of these technologies.
