Sony India, a prominent player in the consumer electronics sector, reported a 2.44% increase in its revenue from operations, reaching Rs 7,851.08 crore for the fiscal year 2025. Despite the growth, total profit saw a slight dip of nearly 6%, settling at Rs 157.03 crore.
Financial data accessed via Tofler reveals that Sony India's total income, encompassing other earnings, climbed 2.45% to Rs 7,917.54 crore for the year ending March 31, 2025. This upswing occurs as India continues to emerge as Sony's fourth-largest market, trailing only the US, China, and Japan.
In its bid to ascend to the third-largest global market for Sony, India sees increased advertising expenses, up 2.61% to Rs 183.71 crore. Royalty payments to Sony's parent firm rose 6.78% to Rs 276.66 crore. The company noted that revenues from its 'Consumer Audio and Visuals' segment increased by 3.63% to Rs 6,528.99 crore, signaling a stabilizing financial trajectory post-exit from mobile and laptop markets.
