According to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the initiative will bolster Delhi's position as a leading hub for semiconductor design and industry development, aligning with the national strategy of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Drafted to foster a comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem, the 'Delhi Semiconductor Policy' will focus on key areas like design, advanced research, and manufacturing-enabling activities. The framework is built to support both financial and non-financial incentives aimed at easing business and innovation, with five strategic pillars forming the policy's core.
Key features of the policy include targeted incentives, operational cost reductions, and a favorable business climate to boost investments.
