Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday claimed that eight crore new jobs have been created in the country over the past three to four years, according to a Reserve Bank of India (RBI) report. He made this announcement while speaking at an event in Mumbai's Goregaon suburb, marking the launch and foundation-laying of Rs 29,000 crore projects in the road, railway, and port sectors.
Modi noted that small and big investors have shown great enthusiasm for the NDA's third term, attributing this to the government's ability to provide stability. He highlighted the creation of jobs even amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Prime Minister also outlined improvements in Mumbai's infrastructure, including the rapid expansion of the metro rail network, the construction of the Coastal Road and Atal Setu, and the development of the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road and twin tunnels between Thane and Borivali. These projects, he said, will significantly improve connectivity, safety, and fuel efficiency.
