Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has officially commissioned the first 250 MW of wind energy at the world's largest 30,000 MW renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat. This addition brings the total operational capacity at the Khavda site to 2,250 MW, solidifying AGEL's leadership with an 11,184 MW portfolio across India.

Wind energy is pivotal in India's renewable energy strategy, complementing solar power and contributing to grid stability. The Khavda plant, with average wind speeds of 8 meters per second, is an ideal site. It features 5.2 MW wind turbine generators, among the most powerful globally, manufactured with advanced German technology at AGEL's ANIL facility.

The plant, spanning 538 sq km, will be the world's largest power project upon completion. AGEL's extensive studies and innovative approaches, including constructing key infrastructure like roads, drainage, and reverse osmosis plants, ensure the project's success. Additionally, the integrated efforts of specialized partners within the Adani portfolio highlight the collaborative strength behind this undertaking.
