Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Thursday that MoUs worth Rs 5 lakh crore have been signed over the past two years under his administration. These agreements are expected to generate 2.5 lakh jobs, Shinde revealed during his address following the hoisting of the national flag.

Highlighting the state’s substantial contribution to the vision of a developed India, Shinde noted that Maharashtra's policies have been strategically aligned to achieve this goal. He pointed out that the state’s development ranking had previously slipped and there was a pressing need to get the economy back on track—a challenge his government has effectively tackled.

Moreover, the state has undertaken critical reforms in various sectors, including agriculture, education, power generation, health, and infrastructure. Shinde also touched upon the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana,' stating that financial assistance under this scheme has already begun to reach eligible women. Additionally, the final phase of the Samruddhi Expressway will soon open, marking another milestone for the state.
