IndiGo, India's largest airline, has been fined Rs 2 lakh by the Bureau of Immigration for alleged visa-related violations involving two passengers.
The penalty's announcement came through InterGlobe Aviation, IndiGo's parent company, in a filing to the BSE on October 7.
Despite the penalty, IndiGo maintained that there is no material impact on its financials, operations, or other activities, as reflected positively in the market, with the company's shares climbing 2.63% to close at Rs 4,598.95 on the BSE.
