This accolade was presented during the inaugural Hurun India Family Business Awards, highlighting the group's significant influence on the Indian economy and its enduring tea industry legacy.

During a ceremony in Mumbai on October 24, 2024, the Desai family, represented by key members including Managing Director Rasesh Desai and Executive Director Paras Desai, received the honour from Anas Rahman Junaid, Founder of Hurun India, and Dr. Nitin Singh, Managing Director of Barclays Private Clients.
