Flight operations at Srinagar International Airport resumed on Tuesday afternoon, following a temporary halt. According to officials, several flights to and from the Kashmir Valley faced delays, and some airlines announced cancellations for the day as well.
The reopening occurred days after the airport, along with 31 others in border regions, were shut down on May 9 due to a military standoff between India and Pakistan. This move highlights ongoing tensions in the area.
The decision to restart flights came after the Airports Authority of India declared on Monday that civilian flights across the affected airports would resume. However, challenges remain with airline schedules still facing disruption.
