Susanne Waidzunas, Inter IKEA Group's Global Supply Manager, confirmed plans to source core furniture from India for global and local retail growth. She highlighted the critical importance of sustainably sourced wood to elevate India's export capabilities.

Presently among India's top 10 sourcing markets, IKEA is also moving forward with its expansion process in the country. This involves establishing a blend of small-format stores alongside traditional outlets and increasing online sales, thus necessitating support for textiles, metal, and plastic products.
