The Supreme Court on Monday refrained from granting an urgent hearing to a plea seeking judicial oversight over the cancellation of numerous IndiGo flights. The top court noted that the situation has garnered attention from the central government, which is actively working to resolve the issue.

Acknowledging the widespread impact, Chief Justice Surya Kant highlighted that thousands of passengers are stranded, facing potential health risks and other inconveniences. The cancellations, which have left passengers in the dark, were a result of regulatory changes in pilots' flight duty rules.

According to sources, over 250 flights from major hubs such as Delhi and Bengaluru were affected, exacerbating the disarray in flight operations. The government and the airline are under pressure to address the crisis as delays and cancellations continue across the country.
