The incident occurred Friday night when a pickup, transporting 14 labourers from Raebareli to Azamgarh, was rear-ended by an unidentified truck. Preliminary investigations point to dense fog as a probable factor for the incident.

The injured were rushed to Dostpur Community Health Centre, where doctors declared Ajay Kumar and Kishan Pal deceased. Another victim, Rajoli, succumbed to injuries at Ambedkar Nagar District Hospital. Authorities are striving to trace the truck and its driver for further investigation.
