The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has called on the government to ensure priority allocation of LPG and natural gas to export-oriented manufacturing units. FIEO President S C Ralhan expressed concerns over potential production disruptions, exacerbated by the West Asia crisis affecting energy supplies globally.
Exporters underline the competitive pressures from international markets, highlighting the dire need for a consistent fuel supply to honor global sourcing commitments. Current fuel scarcity risks shifting international orders to Asian competitors like China, FIEO warned in its communication to the commerce ministry.
Industry leaders, including Hand Tools manufacturers from Jalandhar, echoed the appeal, requesting regulated LPG supplies to support uninterrupted production and employment. They seek urgent government intervention to sustain industrial operations and reinforce India's status as a reliable sourcing destination.
