Gujarat is ambitiously aiming to become a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030, aligning with the developmental blueprint set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel highlighted this objective during the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Gujarat Annual Convention.
Patel emphasized the state government's commitment to bolstering the industrial sector to reach this target. Despite constituting only 5% of India's population, Gujarat significantly contributes 8% to the national GDP, and the goal is to elevate this figure beyond 10%.
Gujarat's impact is vast, contributing 17% to India's manufacturing output and handling a remarkable 33% of the country's exports. Patel cited the example of Micron Technology to illustrate global investor confidence fostered through proactive policies. This policy-driven approach has made Gujarat a premier destination for advanced industries.
