Mumbai-Pune Expressway's 'Missing Link' Unveiled Amid Traffic Turmoil

The new 13.3 km 'missing link' on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, aims to reduce travel time and congestion by bypassing the Bhor Ghat stretch. On Saturday, after some initial delays, the newly-inaugurated Mumbai-bound carriageway of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway 'missing link’ was successfully opened, promising to ease congestion and significantly reduce travel time between the two cities.

The 13.3 km stretch, bypassing the accident-prone Bhor Ghat, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the presence of other key political figures. The delay in opening was attributed to dismantling inauguration structures and cleaning efforts.

This engineering marvel, which includes tunnels, viaducts, and a cable-stayed bridge, has already seen a significant reduction in traffic snarls, with notable political figures weighing in on the need for better event management strategies.
