An electrical double-decker bus was consumed by flames during maintenance at the Kurla BEST depot in Mumbai on Sunday. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the vehicle was empty.

The fire, which started around 3:55 PM inside the depot's parking area, was initially addressed by staff who used multiple fire extinguishers. It wasn't until the fire brigade's intervention that the blaze was contained.

The affected bus had been sidelined for repairs since May 1 due to a technical issue. The incident briefly disrupted depot operations as authorities ensured safety by closing the facility temporarily.
