At the 59th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), President Masato Kanda called on Asia and the Pacific region to unite for shared growth through enhanced cross-border connections. He emphasized the importance of building resilient systems to address the rapid spread of economic shocks across borders.
Highlighting the bank’s response to present-day challenges, Kanda detailed substantial financial support and innovative initiatives aimed at integrating infrastructure and markets across the region. The ADB has launched sizable investments to foster digital and energy connectivity, including a $50-billion plan for a pan-Asia power grid and a $20-billion project for digital inclusion.
