The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea to delay the NEET-PG examination set for August 11, which cited the allocation of exam cities that are hard for candidates to reach.
Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra emphasized that the examination's postponement would jeopardize the careers of two lakh students. The Court acknowledged the complexities but maintained its stance against rescheduling.
Senior advocate Sanjay Hegde represented the petitioners, stating that the reschedule was necessary due to the inconvenient allocation of test cities. The exam, originally planned for June 23, was postponed by the Union Health Ministry as a precautionary measure amid alleged irregularities in other exams.
