Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin, has strongly refuted Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's criticisms of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin concerning the ongoing National Education Policy (NEP) debate.
Stalin reiterated that Tamil Nadu will adhere to its traditional two-language policy and demands the central government provide its due share of funds, amounting to approximately Rs 2150 crore, without NEP conditions.
The tension between the state and central government arises from Pradhan's call for TN to move beyond political differences for education reforms, which Stalin perceives as undermining the state's autonomous education policies.
