Maharashtra Moves to Regulate Private Coaching Classes
Maharashtra is preparing to regulate private coaching classes to curb malpractices, as stated by the state school education minister. An Act based on a proposal will soon be issued, aiming to address financial exploitation by these centers and enhance the quality of education.

A new proposal has been crafted at the commissioner level in Maharashtra to bring regulation to private coaching classes, as affirmed by the state's school education minister in the Legislative Council on Monday.
This initiative aims to issue an Act soon to address and mitigate malpractices within these coaching centers, according to Policy Minister Bhuse, who highlighted the existing guidelines framed by the Centre that will inform state-specific legislation.
NCP MLC Amol Mitkari spotlighted the financial exploitation students face at private coaching centers. In response, Bhuse disclosed ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality and safeguard student interests through imminent legislative measures and an upcoming education policy announcement.
