Private schools in Delhi have begun unveiling their criteria for nursery admissions in the 2026-27 academic year, with distance emerging as a crucial determinant. Some institutions allocate up to 55 points for proximity, marking it as the leading factor in their selection process.

Indraprastha International School in Dwarka awards a maximum of 55 points to applicants residing within 0-12 km. Those living 12-15 km away receive 45 points, and those beyond 15 km receive 35. Sibling, alumni, and staff wards also receive due consideration, each worth 15 points.

The Directorate of Education has spelled out the complete admission timeline. Application forms become available on December 4, and the first list of candidates will be released on January 23. To ensure transparency, schools are mandated to upload detailed criteria and point distributions for open seats by November 28.
