Sikkim Collaborates with EkStep Foundation to Revolutionize Foundational Learning

Their AXL program targets reading and math skills improvement by providing personalized learning experiences. The initiative will initially launch in three Sikkim blocks.

The Education Department of Sikkim has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with EkStep Foundation from Bengaluru to advance foundational learning in its government schools through AI-integrated solutions. The collaboration aims to leverage artificial intelligence to transform how children acquire reading and mathematics skills at a foundational level.
Through the AXL (Assisted Language/Math Learning) program, EkStep Foundation plans to offer customized and adaptive learning experiences for children, designed to bridge learning gaps while promoting continuous progress within a secure and supportive atmosphere. Officials highlight the program's promise to foster an effective educational environment across three initial blocks in Sikkim—Pakyong, Namcheybong, and Rhenock.
This innovative approach intends to establish consistent practice in language and mathematics, ultimately nurturing a robust learning foundation for the students. The initiative underscores the potential of technology-driven solutions in enhancing literacy and numeracy from the ground up.
