The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) detained a man from Nashik, Maharashtra, in relation to the alleged NEET paper leak on Tuesday evening, as confirmed by an official.
Earlier, Nashik's crime branch unit 2, at the Rajasthan Police's request, detained Shubham Khairnar, a 30-year-old Nandgaon resident. He was apprehended from Indiranagar, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Kirankumar Chauhan.
The NEET (UG) 2026 exam, intended for entry into medical colleges, was cancelled on May 3 due to paper leak allegations, prompting the government to task the CBI with a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities.
