The education department in Bihar has directed madrasas, Sanskrit schools, and other government-supported minority educational institutions to provide a comprehensive account of their student, teacher, and non-teaching staff numbers. This measure is part of an initiative to monitor the proper utilization of state funds by these institutions.

Education minister Mithlesh Tiwari affirmed the necessity for these institutions to furnish the requested information, emphasizing that it helps verify the efficient use of public money. Data must be uploaded to the e-Shiksha Kosh portal, an integrated system created by the state to enhance educational quality and oversight.

The portal, which includes a mobile app, offers features like selfie-based teacher attendance and real-time school inspection reports. Each school employee will receive a unique ID to enter their details, which district officers will subsequently verify. Additionally, the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board will assist madrasas in coordinating their data submissions.
