In its 2024 second quarter earnings report, Netflix highlighted that Indian content had made substantial progress, ranking second in net adds and third in revenue growth.
CEO Ted Sarandos emphasized the importance of product market fit and praised Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his series “Heeramandi,” which garnered 15 million views. Other notable titles include Imtiaz Ali's “Amar Singh Chamkila,” while future projects like “IC814: The Kandahar Hijack” and “Do Patti” are set to keep the momentum going.
