Leaders Respond to Himachal Pradesh Cloudburst Tragedy

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday confirmed that updates are being received from Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu regarding the recent cloudburst incidents. Kharge urged party workers to offer all possible assistance to affected individuals.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, expressed condolences over the loss of lives due to the cloudbursts and reported that he had spoken with Sukhu to understand the 'difficult situation'. The incidents have claimed three lives and left approximately 40 people missing. Heavy rains also caused extensive property damage, including the destruction of houses, roads, and two hydro power projects.
Kharge noted that Chief Minister Sukhu is personally visiting the affected areas and coordinating with NDRF and SDRF teams for relief operations. Similarly, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra underlined the heart-wrenching news of several deaths and missing persons, extending her condolences and prayers for the safety of all Himachal residents.
