Renowned filmmaker David Lynch has revealed that he has been diagnosed with emphysema. In a candid interview, Lynch noted that his condition means even catching a cold during the post-COVID era could be detrimental to his health.
The 78-year-old icon, known for films such as 'Mulholland Drive' and 'Blue Velvet', shared that he can only walk short distances before running out of oxygen. He attributed the disease to his long history of smoking, which he has since quit for over two years.
Lynch remains hopeful about his future, particularly regarding his 2010 script 'Antelope Don't Run No More'. He reassured fans that he is in otherwise excellent shape and remains committed to his work, stating, 'I am filled with happiness, and I will never retire.'
