On the eve of the 78th Independence Day, a new campaign was unveiled that aims to encourage the Indian diaspora worldwide to visit India, reconnect with their heritage, and witness India's modern urban infrastructure.
The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with MakeMyTrip, spearheaded this initiative, according to officials.
A promotional video titled 'Tum Apne Ghar Mein Laut Kar Aao Toh Dekho' was released on MakeMyTrip's YouTube page to mark the occasion.
Named 'India: The Homecoming', the campaign invites Indians globally to reconnect with their cultural roots.
''This Independence Day, the Ministry of Tourism, India, and MakeMyTrip present magical glimpses of 'saare jahaan se acchha Hindustan humaara', encouraging Indians abroad to come home and reconnect with their ancestry,'' reads the description of the video on YouTube.
The nearly two-minute video showcases India's modern infrastructure, including newly erected buildings and bridges, while also emphasizing the importance of cultural roots and family connections.
