Malayalam film actress Minu Muneer has made serious allegations of sexual harassment against several prominent actors in the industry. Minu has accused actors M Mukesh, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Idavela Babu of subjecting her to verbal and physical abuse during film shoots.

Speaking to ANI, Minu detailed her harrowing experiences, which included difficulties in obtaining AMMA membership, being denied roles, and described as 'worthless.' She recounted an incident where Jayasurya allegedly hugged her inappropriately and forcibly kissed her. Idavela Babu, she claimed, expressed interest in a sexual relationship.

Further allegations were made against Maniyanpilla Raju, who Minu said made inappropriate advances and suggestions while she was commuting to a shoot location. Following these experiences, she claimed she was blacklisted in the industry, which resulted in her relocating to Chennai. The accusations come amid the resignation of AMMA members Ranjith and Siddique.

Earlier on social media, Minu disclosed that during the filming of a 2013 movie, she faced severe verbal and physical harassment by multiple individuals, including Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Idavela Babu, Jayasurya, Advocate Chandrasekharan, production controller Noble, and Vichu. She declared her quest for justice and accountability for the trauma endured.

The controversy surfaces alongside the recent publication of a redacted Justice Hema Committee report, which documented extensive maltreatment of women in the Malayalam film industry. The Kerala government has since announced the formation of a special investigation team to probe into these allegations, following a high-level meeting convened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
