Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Thane, Maharashtra, on October 5 to attend an event related to the Maharashtra state government's Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana and the Women's Empowerment Mission. This visit underscores the government's focus on women's issues.

On Monday, district officials reviewed the event's preparations, including rain plans, traffic control, and parking logistics, ensuring smooth proceedings regardless of weather conditions.

The Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana, a key scheme by the Eknath Shinde government, provides Rs 1500 monthly aid to women with annual family incomes below Rs 2.5 lakh. The Women's Empowerment Mission, launched last October, aims to integrate various state and Union socio-economic development schemes for women.
