In the midst of ongoing controversy, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani has cancelled hosting duties for an event set for Valentine's Day. On Instagram, Chanchlani cited health issues for his absence from the screening of 'Captain America: Brave New World,' allowing attendees to still enjoy the show without him.
Legal troubles mount for Chanchlani as Assam Police issue summons to him and fellow YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in light of an FIR, which accuses content creators of promoting obscenity on 'India's Got Latent.' The complaint was filed by Alok Boruah, citing violations of public decency.
The ongoing case, registered under Cyber PS case no. 03/2025, involves the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other acts. Comedian and show host Samay Raina has removed related content, while Allahbadia issued an apology admitting his comments were inappropriate, emphasizing a need for more responsible content creation.
