Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Friday lauded Maha Kumbh as a major cultural and economic event, underscoring its religious and environmental value. Scheduled from January 13 to February 26 in Prayagraj, it draws millions.

At the Kumbh Global Summit organized by India Foundation, Shekhawat revealed the event's substantial economic impact, with trade reaching $360 billion, boosting the GDP by one percent. Apart from economic gains, Maha Kumbh fosters cultural and spiritual awareness.

Highlighting eco-friendly practices, Shekhawat noted the deployment of over 15,000 sanitation workers and the use of AI for sustainable development. The Maha Kumbh exemplifies India's spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, reflecting holistic progress.
