BJP Raises Concerns Over Temple Fund Allocation in Himachal

The BJP has accused district administrations in Himachal Pradesh of pressuring state-run temples to allocate funds for the Sukh Ashray scheme. While about 35 major temples are reportedly asked to contribute, final decisions remain with temple trusts. The scheme supports orphans by ensuring access to various facilities, including higher education funding.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has leveled accusations against several district administrations in Himachal Pradesh, claiming they are pressuring state-run temples to allocate funds for the Sukh Ashray scheme.

Karan Nanda, BJP State Media Incharge, stated that approximately 35 major temples overseen by the state government have been approached for funding.

The Sukh Ashray scheme is designed to assist orphans by designating them as state children and providing facilities, including higher education funding. Nanda alleges that temple funds are being diverted, but temples retain final decision-making power.
